Joan Didion Collection

This is a series of three cohesive trade paperback books for a re-release of works by Joan Didion. The project explores how individual titles can maintain distinct visual identities while functioning as part of a unified design system. The main challenge was to visually communicate both the breadth of Didion’s literary voice and the specificity of each work; which I addressed by developing a flexible design system allowing each cover to stand on its own accompanied by a typographic and grid system and creating continuity across the series.
